Was the last 4 days, the run-up and the run down due to triple witching. I've read the EPA news has already been baked into the price. I've also read that they'll be lawsuits do to the fact the emissions had nothing to do with carbon dioxide which the EPA is claiming. How expensive would it be to put a floating plant off shore to bypass any future government control, kind of like casinos did to bypass online gambling laws a few yrs. back Just some thoughts and couple of questions. I'm long, however, that 5 day chart looks ugly..
Maxpain on the options was $14 all week. The total call amount was greater than the put amount implying that for the maxpain theory to hold the price would close the week just under the $14 strike price, which it did. It closed the previous Friday at 13.82 and this recent Friday at 13.77. It went nowhere. Worse though, it put in a lower high and will likely go on to print a lower low.
Floating power plant? I don't think so. U.S. territorial waters extend 200 miles offshore. The engineering problems and expense associated with a plant large enough to justify underwater transmission would be immense to say the least.
