STJ's slide presentation last month involving AF initiatives included discussion of STJ's initial magnetic guided rf ablation catheter designed for use on STXS' Niobe platform. STJ has indicated it expects the catheter will be available in Europe later this year.
One prominent analyst issued a STXS "Company Alert" and suggests that investors "stay tuned" for more strategic developments on STXS as this news directly involves both STJ and JNJ, the two largest players in the EP disposables business.
Now one of the world's top EPs, Dr. Pappone, has announced he is going to open a new center with 3 EP suites, all of which appear to be equipped with STXS Niobe systems. It seems apparent that STJ's corporate development guys understand that Pappone and others thought to be helping STJ to design new EP disposables are avid users of the STXS platform.
Here's Pappone's comments from his website (note he is a consultant to STXS, STJ and JNJ (Biosense Webster, the EP subsidiary).

Inauguration of the new center of arrhythmology and cardiac electrophysiology
It’s planned for April of this year the opening of the new center of arrhythmology and cardiac electrophysiology at Villa Maria Cecilia Hospital. Three operating rooms equipped with the latest technologies in the management and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias with particular regard to the new intracardiac navigation systems and robotics will be soon available for patients. It will be possible to perform innovative procedures such as percutaneous closure of the left atrial appendage to prevent thromboembolic events (stroke) in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation at risk. <<
If interested, see his website at the link below, and note the key sponsors and discussion under the new center article (Gruppo Villa Maria) and the technology tab where he discusses STXS, STJ Ensite Velocity and JNJ's new RMT Carto 3.
