    DURATA... Mayday! Mayday!!!!

Did you report them? Will you commit to providing links to the MAUDE database when they are posted?

    • I am not a MD. I don't report anything. Bottom line....MAUDE is not an indicator, it is a reporting mechanism that is typically late to the party all the time. The FDA MDR report is good as it is real time data. BUT, the bottom line is that it is STJ corporate responsibility to do the right thing for the patient and the doctor. Waiting on a silly report from the government which is outdated when they know what the right thing to do is just ethically wrong. DO THE RIGHT THING STJ! Can anyone really trust Dan Starks anymore?????

      • You don't have to be an MD to make submissions to the FDA, you just need to have the intestinal fortitude to do the right thing. Details on how any medical professional can submit reports are at Even if you're a consumer, you can file them; details are at

If you have actual first hand information on failures, it's your duty to your patients (assuming you are the medical professional you claim to be) to do something about it. Report it to the FDA, not the yahoo board.

I think that Riata and Durata are definitely failing at a higher than acceptable rate and higher than the rates that STJ is admitting to based on the various journal articles that have been published as welly as my own browsing through the MAUDE database. My opinion is based on published evidence. The only report of inside-out abrasion I've seen besides Riata was on a Biotronik lead.

I've reviewed all the post you've made on this board. None of them contain any verifiable information or links to actual content other than one post which linked to a Yahoo Finance article. I think it's safe to say that the readers of this forum all had the same information readily available to them without you posting it. None of your posts have any insight in them either.

Based on your posts, you're either a lazy sales rep (probably for medtronic), a shortie, or a coward of a medical professional. My guess is you're just another short. If you look through my posts you'll clearly see that I am mostly a troll but I don't claim to be something I'm not.
