they declare divis on mid-sept....and to be pay at the end of november....the final payment for this years and declared at end of december and to be pay at the end of march, 2014...
many investors will not notice the skip of one payment.

    • Net: how do you know that AMTG will not pay the dividend (announced in December) until next March?

      Sentiment: Buy

Net: One more observation. I've seen companies suspend dividends & distributions, but their pps were declining dramatically because of serious problems in marketing their products, problems in management, etc.. The result was the stocks I saw suffered badly when this decision was made, even if they preserved capital & put it to constructive use.

This could happen to us here because the tapering question is an Achilles Heel which is out of our control. But I continue to believe that even in a much healthier economy, when the dust settles, the business model these companies are following can be pursued at the higher echelon of rates. I mean, people and businesses will continue to borrow and utilize capital. There'll still be the margins between the discounted rates at which mreits like AMTG will take to the marketplace and the rates at which their customers borrow from them. It's kind of the way a lot of business will continue to be done in the U.S. of A..

THanks for the head ups. The question is what is going on? Are they not generating the numbers?
On the face of it ,this looks like a greatly undervalued reit, but why is the price so low?

      Sentiment: Hold

I think I might notice. Why? The mreit sector mostly pays at the end of Jan., Apr., July, & Oct.. Virtually all the other sectors pay out in other months but along similar lines of regularity.
The thing I'm really not counting on is a special dividend at the end of the year (for obvious reasons). So, my eyes are on the upcoming declaration in several days to see by how much we'll be cut.
