I watched again the YouTube video dated November 2, 2007. I noticed that there is a plate, about three foot long and full width of the vehicle, across the mid-section of the bottom. It is hard to tell if the plate is flat or has a shallow V-shape. It is close to the ground. I imagine that a large enough bomb going off in that area, acting on that plate, creates sufficient force to lift the vehicle off the ground. IMHO, that was what happened to the vehicle that was hit by an IED, lifted in the air, rolled over and killed the gunner.
I wonder how IMG and the DoD missed that, and what they are going to do about it, short of telling the enemy to play fair and use bombs smaller than 30 pound.MORE DEATH COMING
