How Is the Move to IL Working Out

Three legs to a stool: Employees, Customers and Shareholders.

I understand that profit sharing was quite high for the employees in Fort Wayne, so we really miss the business being here. I know the facilities were older here and not as nice and fancy for the executives. But now that the move has been complete for a while, has the impact of the move been without any downsides. I understand that replacing a design center really should have no impact as long as the officers and upper level managers stay in tack.

    EX EMPLOYEES:
I have a friend that once worked there and they were really mean to him until he quit. I really felt sorry for him, but now it really has worked out well for him. He has a new job (I think making a little more, the normal job change increase) and is really happy.

I have another friend that just got laid off. He just got a new job but got a decrease (Offered more money for an out of state job but decided to stay here). I bet he will get some increases with time and be back to normal.

    OFFICERS:
So it is working out for the ex-employees. How about the customers and the shareholders. Are they still making money hand over fist as they were 5 years ago?

If they are we should make sure we reward the officers with bonuses.

    • That Lisle HQ was paid for with Recovery funds. ARRA Funds allocated to Illinois were approved to be used by Navistar by local politicians that did no homework on this company. Approvals came from the State thru the Illiinois Finance Authority and from the Cook County Board of Commissioners. Several cities in Illinois, including Naperville and Rockford approved returning their allocation back to the State so it could be made available to Navistar. At toal of $225 M was awarded to Navistar.

Now that we can see the plan for the consolidation/layoffs in full swing, its no wonder Navistar refused to comply with subpoenas issued by Lisle to testify under oath as to the economic benefits and job creation "promised" by others - namely by the Naperville Chamber of Commerse and the local Economic Development Corp called Choose DuPage run by yet another politican who, at the time, was Chairman of the DuPage County Board.

    • I heard the fancy new headquarters in Leslie is being reposessed.
