    So much for that...

That didn't dent the price at all. Helped out F a little. Any ideas why the lame reaction? This sucks!

    • Think about it. Nav spent beaucoup stockholder's dollars to create a 'unique brand identity'. It spends too much and takes too long to bring a product to market that is allegedly SO superior that the competition will just pack up their athletic supporters and head for the stadium gates. NOW, even before this allegedly superior product is formally announced, the management of the company engages in a joint venture to create a cheap knock-off of this 'Hi-Performance' vehicle -- urinating in the soup, so to speak. Some 'unique brand identity', eh? What does this tell you about which body orifice the company's management has its head stuck in?

      • I agree with some of your comments Fidel. Ford and their dealers will be happy. They held a pretty good part of the medium business in their day. Int'l dealers will go back to losing business to Ford but Nav will come out smelling like a rose because they're still in the drivers seat. Int'l.dealers probably can say goodbye to plenty general pick up and delivery trucks but probably can keep the severe service end. The NGV is a premium priced truck since what use to be optional equipment is now standard.Int'l belives, "build it and they will come". The Ford dealers in the automotive business sells the medium truck and they work on smaller margins than a Truck dealership can afford to due to the volume of vehicles they sell. There will be much said about this deal in Las Vegas and everybody is suppose to be real excited, well, almost everybody. kinda brings back the memories of Chevy and Olds days. I will stay positive. My comments are MY opinion only and not intended to sway anybodys opinion or thoughts. I, like so many others depend on this to be a good deal.

    • I think today's price action (or lack thereof) is more related to some folks dumping out that were hoping for different news. Some bought in counting on a takeover, but a joint-venture falls far short of what they were hoping for. So, knowing that any huge short-term pop from a takeover announcement is now even more doubtful, they sell. Just IMHO as an explanation.
