I don't know why people are getting so worried about the dividend announcement. Last year it was announced on September 21st, a Monday, ex-d the 29th. Average payout ratio is 86.3%, so if they earned 19 cents, the divvy should be either .16 or .17, and you'll get it on or about the last day of October.
Also, the dates for the last six dividend announcements have been between the 18th and the 23rd of the month except last June when it was the 10th. IMHO, the announcement will be made in the next 7 days as is typical with CIM with last quarter's announcement during the second week rather than the third being the exception rather than the rule and when it is made, everyone is going to wonder why they were concerned. Again JMHO. GLTU
Also, FWIW, the dividend announcements all are after the market close on the day that they are announced. So, Monday after the close will be the soonest that the announcement will be made if past history is any indication of future actions. Monday may be a good day to buy on any "dips".
