Is this stock trading X divi yet? What date is the last day you can buy and still get the dividend? I know this question angers some but I bought in about 6 months ago and sold my shares at 4.31. I am hoping to get back in and recieve the dividend payment.
I cant find anything any better.
Thanks in advance for your time.
LOL, Moron? Man why are you so impatient creamcream4? ?
I tell you what creamcream4. I will say I am sorry for asaking a stupid question! I am sorry! With my towel thrown in. Just let me say its kinda like asking the guy next to you what time it is when you are wearing a watch. Its just easier!
I did not mean to offend an in the future I will try to keap my posts on topic and relivent!
Must buy it before the ex dividend date but not on that day. If you sell it on the ex div day you forfeit dividend on some stocks, dont buy or sell stock on ex div or between then and record date or you lose div.
Thank you very much friend! I really apreciate the help, the advise and the decent way you treat other people!
I have to assume you have also been atatcked by these crack heads creamcream4 and linkydinky or whatever he calls his withered up old A$$
Dont sell it until after the record date which is usually 3 days after the ex dividend date, they will announce the ex div date. The pay date is usually a month later. if you only want to ride it up for the dividend without taking the dividend then sell it a few days before the ex div. date. Take a close look at the charts the quarter before to see when to sell. I have done this before but it is risky. It is better not to mess with dividend stock. there is a point where the stock falls because the dividend comes out---this is a good time to enter the market. Or you could wait for an offering. Sorry for the "stupid" reply by someone on this board without manners. I often ask questions, and as a grad of MIT and Harvard I do not think it is "Stupid" to ask a question, ever.
Some additional information you may find "not stupid":
There are three REIT's that I own off and on: AGNC, NLY and CIM. Each of these REITS has similar dividend characteristics. By combining timing of purchases and sales, and market volatility, you can get excellent returns, on the order of 20% annualized.
CIM has not announced their dividend. I expect them to announce within a week.
At the time I write this, CIM is trading at 4.19, I own 12,000 shares, and just bought 8,000 more.
