    Mr. President

Be presidetial and maintain your dignity. NO MORE NEGOTIATIONS. Accept the House leaders resignation on non negotiation of debt extension. Inform him all your offers about Soc. Sec., medicare and medicaid or any middle class spending cuts are off the table. They want to take their marble home, tell them go ahead and do it.
They are immature children not even as smart as Sasha and Malia.

    • This military stuff is frankly a welfare bum thing. But the Bum is successful in completing transforming this nation into a de facto New Third World Country.

Yes, we are very Third World.

Welcome to and let us celebrate the United States of the Dancing Monkeys, now under new management headed by a Head Monkey!!

      • Yes.. someone finally speaks the truth.
Neither the demo-blicans or the right wing loonies are proposing to cut funding where it needs to be cut: MILITARY / Defense spending, which accounts about 20% of our federal budget, just about the same as Social Security or Medicare, which take about 20% each as well.

But neither the senate or congress will speak about stupid wars we cannot afford, because the military complex have them all in their pocket.

The USA is a crumbling empire.

    • Can any of you right wingers please tell me, why weren't you complaining when, under W Bush, the debt limit was raised by over 4 TRILLION dollars?
You are nothing but a bunch of liars. You are just parroting whatever your overlords, the Koch brothers tell you to say.

These are the times when the debt limit was increased under Dubya:
June 2002: Congress approves a $450 billion increase, raising the debt limit to $6.4 trillion.

May 2003: Congress approves a $900 billion increase, raising the debt limit to $7.384 trillion.

November 2004: Congress approves an $800 billion increase, raising the debt limit to $8.1 trillion.

March 2006: Congress approves a $781 billion increase, raising the debt limit to $8.965 trillion.

September 2007: Congress approves an $850 billion increase, raising the debt limit to $9.815 trillion.

    • If he can't have his Welfare State, he is going to pick up his marbles and go home. Well, he is going to find out that people are sick and tired of the Freeloader State and they are not going to spend 50% or more of there time working to pay for it. Why risk your capital and have most of the rewards for doing that taken away to be squandered by professional politicians that have never worked
or risked anything in their lives.

      • To Dink and the other Republicans:

You just don't get economics nor how a functional society works, do you? Communism doesn't work, right? Well neither does pure capitalism. It's IMPOSSIBLE. There will always be people who are needy or less fortunate, so instead of complaining about it, help contribute to society to make it a better place. In order for capitalism to function properly, there must be a socialist element, unless, of course, you want thousands of elderly and handicapped people living homeless on the street. And what about in an economic downturn? Do you realize how America would look if people didn't have unemployment? Presidents from both parties have always realized this.

Good societies take care of their own - their elderly, their vets, their sick and injured, their less fortunate.

Sure there are some freeloaders and nobody likes them. Nobody likes paying taxes, either.

But the VAST majority of people want a job.

My mother is 64 years old and literally worked her ENTIRE life. She divorced my father years ago and has been supporting herself all this time. She lost her job 3 years ago (after working there 12 years) and lives in Florida, where her home value (which she still owes money on) has tanked. Do you think anybody is hiring a 64 year old woman? Do you think she wants to be unemployed? Do you think she wants to ask her daughter for help?

America has some of the lowest income taxes of any developed nation, yet idiots like you complain about it without ever thinking of society or even basic economics.

Please just STFU and go away!

    • You need to get some profession help. You are going to lose all your money and be a ward of the state. I do not want to support your lousy A$$.

once again, you want to chant the liberal tag lines, but it's all done on pure emotionalism,, and then when "the facts" are brought in to the discussion, you'll try to bob and weave your way out of a factual discussion,, so are you trying to make the deficit/debt ALL about GWB and "his" or his dads's war ?? ,, best not go there junior... because i'll be happy to post your demo buddies who approved the war,, and, it too happened in the heat of the moment.... and as you see, the other lib tag line,, "after the fact" ("the war is about OIL, nothing more, nothing less") (remember that one ??) ,, well as it turns out, it wasn't about OIL, it was about trying to set straight the 911 plot, ok, the premise was wrong, but Saddam Hussein is no longer among the living, just like BinLaden,, shukkin and jivin doesn't get it,, so your political rhetoric is as empty as your head,, and there'll be no soup line for me,, i don't need the hand outs, and you.. will be the least of my memories.... save it for one of the "new recruits" sonny..... and CIM ?? well, as long as the interest rates stay low for extended period of time.. i'd say that anyone in a short position at these levels is asking for a spanking, best monitor what the guvmint plans to do about fannie/freddie, and keep a watchful eye on interest rates, that aren't currently going up,, also, the LIBOR on the USD is holding steady,, so maybe a little less message board trading on your part, and more history ehh ?? ,, bwaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

    • I don't know what is the point of bringing the Korean war and World War II into the discussion. Do you really think they are realvant to the budget deficit we are seeing today? You just keep buying CIM because you will deserve what you are going to get. And remember when you are in the soup line who told you so.
