    Let's have some discussion on the paten

    The patent is about how to arrange different DNAs or more precisely oligos on the chip, which can be used for diagnosis. As a molecular biologist, I personally think it is not significant, there are so many good companies producing good chips for this purpose (the technology is called microarray). The shortage for this chip is it is on DNA level, but diseases are more on protein level, so proteomics is better in this case.

    I don't know whether most nono materials can be arranged by this elctronic field or not, however, even you can arrange most of them by this device, it is still very far away from actuall application. But I doubt this electronic field device can arrange a lot nono-materials other than Oligo DNAs, highly charged materials
