Insider buying is usually a good sign especially when it is wide spread. Insider buying has a much better future stock price prediction value than insider selling though it is not flawless. I can remember reading an article that showed insiders buying EMC as the stock went up then selling as it went down over a multi-year period. Sometimes insiders seem to have no more clue to the future value of the company than the rest of the market.
Nevertheless I believe recent insider buying to be a good sign.
