I noticed this morning on Yahoo earnings estimates that an anylist predicted .57 in 2012 cad. Can that be right? or do you think he ment $1.57 and it was a typo. If it is anywhere near .57 you are looking at a 6-7 dollar stock.
The .57 you refer to and yourself label as earnings is NOT CAD. CAD is cash available for distribution. Cash available for distribution can include such items as depreciation and amortization. These items can be substantial and consequently earnings is not necessarily indicative of CAD.
Analyst estimates that are broad ranging can contribute to a condition where a company is possibly under or over-priced. The high dividend rate is itself indicative of the risk involved in holding shares of this company. This negative indicator for this company is offset by the exceptional amount of insider purchases at higher than current share prices and the lack of insider sales.
