I disagree. I think that this company has a good portfolio of businesses under management that can grow within their own sectors, without necessarily making new acquisitions. Each new acquisition involves risks that can undermine overall corporate performance. I would rather see them take a slow and deliberate approach and avoid making a mistake.
Compass Diversified Holdings (NYSE: CODI ) reports Q1 EPS of $0.08 versus the estimated $0.26, missing by $0.18. EPS were Down 81% from the same quarter last year. Revenue came in at $246.0M versus the estimated $243.63M. Sales were Up 2% year over year.
The company is not growing. The stock is down almost 5% today. Investors are selling because
they are concerned about the future of this company. Sorry, but CODI owns only eight companies -- which is not enough to improve this company or stock.
I just sold all of my shares and made a 10% profit. Why did I sell ? Because I could see this company is going nowhere. There is absolutely no way I am going to risk my money with this stock. I could not sleep at night worrying about my investment with CODI.
