What to do??? I bought six of these REITS last fall and sold out of 4 in the past several weeks.

I dumped the last 3,000 shares of MPW at $16.75 for the "YEILD" reason stated by a poster below. Anytime a REIT falls below the 5% dividend yield I feel this is an important "SELL" metric.
The only ones I'm holding now are OHI & SNH and both of these have a tight "trailing stop." All of these REITS have dramatically increased in value over the past 6 months, as Bond Holders rushed in to buy "Safe" yield. The same situation is occurring in the Utility Sector. I never thought I'd see Con Edison "ED" share value rise to a price where divvy yield is below 4%!
This game of printing money by Governments to prop up economies is scary and soon will lead me back to going "all-in" on CASH. (Normally I'd buy some Gold but even this trade has become a lottery!

    Sentiment: Hold

    • Totally agree. I also sold all my MPW above $16. Will buy back when the yield is 6-7%. For 4.8% yield I can fine larger and less volatile REIT's. Besides it traded like a parabola recently which means a lot of irrational money rushing it - and time to exit!!!
