24 hours since channel lineup changed

It's about 24 hours since Time Warner changed the channel assignments for networks like Bravo, History, Discovery. USA, Sci Fi, but they apparently never informed any of the tv guides, including the one they run as their house organ on channel 51.

Just amazing what a badly run company this is. Just amazing.

I'm not an investor in this company, just a consumer. I pay a hundred bucks a month for relatively modest service, ie, no HBO or Showtime type channels, just basic cable and internet. This is a company that can only survive due to their monopoly blessing.

    • First of all channel 51 or TV Guide is not owned by Time Warner Cable. Second basic cable is channels less than what you have. Your paying for over 230 channels from what you mentioned. So many people use the word "Basic Cable" , but don't even know what that means.

As far as the stock is concerned it faces a lot of competition from Verizon. Time Warner has plenty of competition now. In fact the cable industry is going through a lot of changes, which is why people are pulling out. The FCC has made cable an expensive business, and that gets passed along to consumers.

    • Comcast raised ours 6 a month, I cut their serv. to basic.

F'm I am going to SAT. Jan 1.
