* As if Time Warner couldn’t do anything to piss its customers off more, the faux-monopoly’s now going to charge its customers for internet service based off their usage and then subsequently charge them up the ass if they go over their limit. Of course, the grand majority of it’s customers won’t know about this until they see those charges on their bills. * This company takes advantage of it’s customers, especially in Los Angeles, where there’s no other choice than satellite-based provider, DirecTV. Missed deadlines, overcharges, and absolutely obismal customer service are just a few other pieces to the pie that proves TWC has little-to-zero respect for thier customer base. * Not to mention, this goes in the complete opposite direction from the open-standards the internet was founded upon and needs to increasingly work towards. * Shame on you Time Warner Cable….government contracts don’t give you the right to take advantage of consumers.
....anyone who has a conflicting opinion to this post, I would love to hear it.
Capping and charging will only give TWC a temporary spike in profits as people figure out avoid the charges, switch providers, etc. Somebody like Google will grasp the opportunity provided by the TWC stupidity of raking over its customers. Look for something like GoogleNet or municiple providers to expand. There are already cities, like St Cloud, Fl that provide free WiFi to its residents.
