Time Warner Cable bought our longtime local cable company Insight Communications. They promised no major changes to our cable service.
Now we (750k customers in KY, IN, OH) are losing the NFL Network on this Tuesday (with no reduction in cable rates) -- because Time Warner is the ONLY one of the major 8 cable companies that has never made a deal with the NFL Network.
I and others will be dropping Insight (Time Warner) cable TV service and switching to Direct TV and others who do offer the NFL Network.
Boycott Time Warner Cable in order to send them a message the only way we can.
I dropped my TWC video cable bill from over $120 to $20 per month. I only get the standard service, which is about 30 channels. It's all I need. Most of the other 300 stations carried by TWC contain mostly garbage content. Football? I can live without ESPN. CBS, Fox and NBC show enough football. I can watch other content on Hulu prime ($7 per month) and other free sites. Cable programming contains commercials. Consumers shouldn't pay for content AND have to watch commercials. It's all BS. And consumers know it.
Hello New York from the Alamo City! Time Warner Cable..where to begin?! I'll be brief. We have had their service for 14 years (since '98). Never any real problems until a letter dated July 6th arrived informing us they were jacking our cable service by30%.
Filled with misinformation, the letter has prompted us to leave and go with someone else.
