I'm very pleased with TCAP, own 13,000 shares, added on the late Aug drop. Do the Brilliant minds on this board have any suggestions on other high yield holdings. I own AMTG,( up 40% YTD) just added when they raised the dividend to 0.85 . Also SDRL (up 18% YTD, 8% yield), also CYS.
Wad-da-you-thnk; add to TCAP here?
TCAP is an important core long hold for me. I continue to be amazed how well mezzanine capital is doing. I also own PSEC, TICC, BKCC, with TCAP the largest, and the others in descending order. Other divy plays I like are FNFG, RAS, WIN. I am a bit surprised these high yielders have not appreciated more, but they will IMHO.
Of the high-yielders mentioned here, TCAP strikes me as the cream of the crop. Each of these companies occupies a different niche, with different risks to both capital and dividend. TCAP has outstanding management, which is a critical piece when looking at these REIT and BDCs. I wouldn't expect a high-flyer, but rather the steady consistent growth we've seen, and an 8+ percent yield. A good place to park some money for income, growth, and safety.
I own MCC, 4,000 shares, up 35% YTD , still returning 10%. They keep raising the dividend. I'd buy more on dip but I very, very apprehensive about this election. The Republicans are comatose and the demorats are running wild, wrecking the country .
I added to my position after the ex divi date and warning, still think it's a good buy at these levels. I also added to my INTC position (cyclical low and cyclical warning just given).
