News today that he is appointed to the Board. Now, the guy has a great resume and he should be there. He has been in charge of vasohealthcare. I don't need to point out the obvious that that division didn't exactly have a great Q. Its fair to say that division would have done just as well(poorly) with or without his recent hire. If we are going to pay for a high profile guy, they had better bring some value added. And clearly, SO FAR, he has NOT.
If he was hired to bring other products from GE on board, or bring other companies into our fold, then he better get on it. And Mr Hill, I know you were given many of our shares, but how about buying some company stock on the open market. Or are you just another worthless free loader, like Mr Rios???????????
was there anything specific mentioned in the CC on reasons or rules allowing/preventing insiders buying or not buying? i remember the question and answers around the company buyback but i dont remember addressing insiders/open window.
I asked question, but only in reference to him(Ma). He said basically that it wouldn't make any difference to stock price, so unlike the size company buyback, there was no point and it wasn't going to happen(my words). That is different from what he said in prior internet presentation. He said then that stock was undervalued and he would buy when window was open. I don't think he really thought it out. I think he went to advisors and saw all these exercisable shares he has at around 6 cents and thought better of it. I get it. But, I am sure window is open and I should have pressed him on getting others in top management to buy. Beecher has never bought any. And others the same way. Ma needs to understand that buying in the open market is a huge signal to investors that management has confidence in business. Money talks.
