Who was lucky enough to grab shares...

Who was lucky enough to grab shares in the low $4.50s?

    • Oh, come on, lol.

What you really mean, is who was so greedy, that they didn't sell above $5.30s. I mean, come on, this stock was in the $2.50s mid Oct, less than 3 weeks ago, so thats 100+%gain right there, even for new players. 14/16 up days, and extended RSI 90s is not sustainable, without some kind of a correction. The longer it is extended, the more violent and rapid it will be. Greed always turns to fear. Just sell it and wait.

But up she goes today. GSL could have been up or down today. I just don't want to miss the upside, so I am holding my shares.

My recent trading has been nicely profitable, but I've missed out on far, far more gains. I have a large core position in SFI. When it was in the low $3s just weeks ago I added to my core position, but I also day traded 10 to 20 thousand shares. Just a couple of weeks ago my last day or so trade made me something like 10 cents per share on 20K shares. I thought it was nice easy money, but if I kept those shares instead I'd be up an extra 50 grand right now.

      • I sold 2/3 at 5.35 and bought gdocf at 1.48. I got lucky with the timing. It was going too high to fast. glta

      • Some stocks I like to trade, some stocks I like to hold, and some stocks I can play either way.

With GSL all of my buys except the last one (11/16/09) are now all long term. I have never sold a share. I know that GSL has run up very fast and that I can likely make more money by trading it, but as soon as I sell it I think that I'll be afraid that I am going to miss the next run up and buy it back. I believe that GSL is still fundamentally undervalued.

For those who trade GSL, one could have made a quick 4 or 5% buying near the low today. Sure, the short side was better today, but my investing balls have never been big enough to short a stock, especially not a fundametally undervalued one.

    • What a perfect day! The market is up and GSL shares are cheap!!
