When they changed to the new logo, they changed the taste. I used to think Pepsi was the best tasting drink there was. Now, it tastes similar to RC Cola - only worse. Has anyone else noticed this?
From what I've read, Cocoa-Cola has different formulas for every region of the world. For example, Coke that is sold in the South is sweeter tasting. I also read that the Coke formulae are always being tweaked....the formula that was used 5 years ago is not the one being used today.
Yes! I totally agree. I used to drink Pepsi all the time and loved it! Then I tried a bottle of Pepsi with the new logo and noticed a different taste. I thought it was just me and maybe the individual bottle, but I tried a can of Pepsi and noticed the same thing. What is going on? I used to love Pepsi, now I cannot stand the strong syrupy taste. It's way too sweet for me now.
Anybody notice the different taste of Pepsi from cans?
Something has changed.
1. Formula? - Company says this hasn't changed (which makes sense...why would they change something that was so good)
2. Ingredients - Did one of their suppliers give them some crappy ingredients or did they change one of their suppliers?
3. Cans - Are the ingredients reacting differently to the inside of the cans? Did something change to the cans?
They need to get this problem fixed ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!
So here is my theory - the cans CAN’T be the reason why the taste has changed — I also buy the 2-liter bottles, and it STILL tastes different. Pepsi did something different and they are not fessing up. Bad karma.
I was told last night that our brother in law (who is also a big Pepsi fan) refuses to buy the new logo’d Pepsi. He’s on a mission to hunt down the older cans. Around where I live, I haven’t seen an older can in forever. I think I am going to network myself to friends in other states - maybe they have some leftovers I can get my hands on.
My advice to Pepsi — whatever it is you did - undo it - because you did something different. I will not buy the excuse that it might be a “bad batch” as your customer service rep tried to convince. Unless this “bad batch” is nationwide - you’ve got a BIG problem on your hands that I can only see getting bigger.
If they don't get it switched back to the "old" taste very quickly, they're going to alienate a ton of Pepsi drinkers. This is a HUGE deal. Why would they change something that was so successful? The "new" taste is horrible!
