Split does me no good at all, and with gas prices over 4 bucks in most places all companies will be hit with bad earnings in the next quarter or so. You split a dollar in half and you still have one dollar.
I don't care if it splits, I've held Pepsi since 86 and I won't see anymore to my bottom line with a split. Of course if history is right a split usually tells investors that the company is optimistic about it's future. We'll see I guess. Good luck to all longs here.
In the past they usually raise the dividend and then split, this brings in more investors that could not afford the higher price of a stock. The chance of the stock then going up has more potential from a lower level that a high one. I wish more stocks would split when they reach their all time highs.
