    • i hope your feeling better, pissant.

    • ...eyeye, another cockroach is back on stage!

    • "what a joke, about 6 months ago mak got into a
little snit with someone about what record label
      a
little group named the beatles belonged to, our resident
      genuis was wrong."

      Because I didn't consider it
the Beatles with Pete Best as drummer. At least I
spent some time with them and had them come to one of
my sessions, even sit in for a harmonica overdub
(not used) and had Derek Taylor, their ex- press agent
work for me for several years. As for Tiny Tim, Wavey
Gravy's friend, I did do an album of WG, when he was Hugh
Romney, but Rudy Valle was before my time, also long
      before 8-track.

      I was fairly common in
the "old days" as well. I remember mikeing both sides
of a harpsichord with very open condenser mikes, and
getting an amazing sound with Leon Russell. only to have
Jack Nitchze (sp) drop in and have arecord out within
a week. Hip hop is a little after my time, did do a
little heavy metal (unsucessfully) but that was the end
of it, except for repackage and re-releases. A lot
of songs were ripped of in those days. I did a lot
of research w/ the folk musicologist from UCLA,
discovering roots of songs that had been altered to gain
copyrights. If you can get back to the PD roots you can make
your own changes and gain a copyright.
      ....anyway....

    • Funny what one letter can do. I understand your post now. Peace.

    • Re:MAK;.... WERE YOU EVEN IN THE MUSIC
      BIZ

If you had said "EVER" instead of "EVEN" there would
be no problem. By saying "EVEN" you sounded like you
were dissing him. Which he certainly doesn't deserve.
You better hope you have just 1/2 as much succcess as
      Mak has had.

    • in the music business, what a joke, about 6
months ago mak got into a little snit with someone about
what record label a little group named the beatles
belonged to, our resident genuis was wrong. if mak and
fish were still in the industry we would still be
putting tiny tim on the victrola, and rudy valle on 8
      track.

    • How am I tossing "hip shots" at mak? I dont even
know what HIP SHOTS are... other than in shoot
fighting, Im clueless as to what you are referring to. I
asked him if he was in the music buisness. I dont know
how someone can take that offensively. How else
should I have phrased the question?

    • Interesting Mak... I allways suspected this.
Anyway, I produce for Hip hop. I currently do independant
work for acts, and artists... but they are probably
acts you havent heard of. Im pretty sure you havent
heard of the East Sidaz or LBC crew, or anyone else
from outhere. Anyway, I frequently come across
producers who blatently rip off other peoples music, and
try to pass it off as their own, simply because they
are in a higher position in the buisness. I wont name
names... but Im curious as to if this type of thing
      occured in your time.

    • "Sorry Mak, I answered before I read your post."

      No problem, pal.
