    • Real quick, this is nothing personal, and I am certainly not here for the purpose of arguing with anyone. I think we are all rooting for the same thing; namely Jamba's success. And, I have to admit, Jamba sure has been frustrating over the past year. I'm just hoping to contribute to well-reasoned discussion.

For what it's worth, I actually sold some of my shares after the SBUX announcement. I do not take the competitive threat from them at all lightly. I later bought back a portion of those shares after the price tumbled about 20%. What moved me to buy that portion back was having the chance to sit back and reflect a little. As of today, the Starbucks venture has no stores. Jamba has over 700. They also have international agreements in place and already being developed, with some fairly powerful players in their respective markets. That's not just going to magically go away. I am hoping that the SBUX threat causes JMBA to raise their game. They certainly can't be complacent.

In the final analysis, I am OK with White saying they are excited about the competitive challenge. If he had done any less, a negative person could have heard it as a "problem" for them, as if Jamba might as well just pack up shop and go home.

    • imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

    • SBUX increases the value of the JMBA brand and company, to those other SBUX competitors who may need to diversify and add "good for you" healthy products.

the JMBA brand would go great with:

      Peetes
      Dunkin Donuts
      Coffee Beanery
      etc etc.

.......this is going to get very interesting....JMBA is not just going to lay down and get rolled.

      Look for announcements soon.....
