I've plunked down a lot of $$$ at this store in the past few years, buying such big ticket items as a Goalrilla Basketball System, sneakers, lacrosse supplies and a Foosball Table. I really enjoy the store within a store concept, and believe there may be potential with this stock. However IMO, it's definitely too early/risky for the average investor to jump on board. Was hoping to see some mid single digits as an entry point, but I'll hold tight for 6+ months and monitor this stock so that I can make an informed decision whether to buy or not. Anyone else interested in buying? If so, when/how will you make your decision to do so?
I bought DKS when it was $14. To my opinion the stock needs to be around $18 or so. If you pay attention you see that when they wanted to issue the IPO in the begining it was suppose to be at $18 but instead they issue it at much lower price. It tell us that at least the stock worth $18. How high it will go beyound I wish I knew.
I own some Galyan's stock and was going to buy this because it appeared to me that they were avoiding the big metro areas which seems to be a good strategy. I likened it to WalMart's early growth. Then in researching I found HIBB which really seems to be following the WalMart strategy going to small towns.I bought a little HIBB and will add to it or buy some DKS when I see some current good store performance. Thanks for starting the posts and good luck to you. It's needed in this market.
