Val- why is it when we defend DKS its derrogatory and sickening, yet your defense of TSA is warranted and neccessary? Talking out of both sides of your mouth will only let more flies in. The only person that got a dose of slam was wilkets and 99% of the folks here know damn well he deserves it.
Your wishing that somebodies kids go to an inferior college just shows your true colors, as much as I disagree with you I wouldn't wish bad things on your kids.
I have never said buy more before the shares dissappear. Your credibilty is hampered by the fact you quote things that were never said and make assumptions about individuals that have no basis. We attack with facts and all's you do is try to adviSe everybody that your way is the only way. We all know it just kills you when a company that you perceive as being overvalued is actually making people money.
Val- ever think that maybe you could be wrong?
I have been and I can admit it. But I'm not wrong about DKS. Check my record, I've been here for a long time...and a few days of DKS shares correcting won't make me change my mind, nor will you. But you can keep trying, after all life is about challenges...
And as far as a "major hammering" goes, here is my analogy for you.
Kobe averages 40 points a game that's 10 more than anybody in the NBA. He has a few bad nights and his average dips to 36, did his game suddenly become different? Did he lose the skills that allowed him to average 40? Exactly, nothing has changed. The way I look at it he is still way ahead of everybody else...think about that for a while...
Matrix- Val is sore because I sing DKS praises on his beloved TSA board...
He just can't understand how antbody could have different investing techmiques than his own.
Always more than one way to skin a cat!
First your moniker fits you to a Tee. What you really missed was a nice 365 + 1-day L-T capital gains tax rate. You will now be paying the S-T stuff, I have a feeling that this doesn't matter much to you (when you actually get some meaningful $$$, it will). Now the 197.42% return is hillarious (I actually don't do this, I just count how the $$$ in the account increases), so there is a major difference in determinng performance. Keep counting those pennies, I've got the feeling the kids will be headed to Northridge State, or any other finnnnnne state school/community college. Don't bother answering........
" If I got in at $12 before the board began than duh, who's advise (sic) did I take?"
-- I don't know. Did you adviSe someone or did you take someone's adviCe?!? If it was from a message board, then presumably you took their adviCe to buy. But was there any disciplined adviCe to sell? Doubtful. This whole process with supposedly hard-earned money is downright pathetic in my book......
Look, this whole thing started when max started shooting his mouth off, and asked me to come to the DKS Board (I normally avoid clearly overvalued $hit and told him so). Now that DKS has taken a major hammering and TSA a major uptick, max shoots his mouth off even more in a derogatory and sickening fashion. Where's the mea culpa? Instead, one is treated to a heavy dose of stubborness, and "Buy more before all the shares disappear." LOL. He doesn't know what he has (i.e. in terms of 'value'), and I am highly confident he never did. However, if he rode the momentum wave & got out w/o throwing more down a rat hole, congrats........
PEACE......Good luck to all.....
If I got in at $12 before the board began than duh, who's advise did I take?
It certainly will never be yours - you scab - or the power_of_den, redrocks, minnesotafats (wack it's). Now that's really financially sound.
I can imagine what all men's institution of higher learning you were released from - Soapy U. Have another drink, you mook.
You are right about one thing I do have it bad. And I am loving it. I'm up 197.42%.
"I have two kids that will be going to college in 3 and 6 years. Thanks to DKS the $'s is taken care of. It has been a tumultuous 72 hours. But as you have said past fundamentals are strong and there is absolutely no reason to bail based on some normal modulation."
-- Wow. You got the disease bad. You're kidding, right?!?
The key after making some coin is to not lose it, and remembering to pay the tax man on April 15th. One of the hallmarks of a mania is that a lot of the money 'made' is subsequently lost. Just might make the difference between Cal State Northridge (or Fresno St.) vs. USC; or Michigan State vs. Michigan; or SUNY vs. NYU. Hope your kids are in the latter group of schools, but if you rely on meaningful investment advice from a couple of bozos on an internet chat room site, then you got a whole other thing comin'.......Good luck to all......
I am and will be very long on DKS. Got in on day one - minute one. It has been a great run since OCT and I believe in the company and know there is more in the tank. I have two kids that will be going to college in 3 and 6 years. Thanks to DKS the $'s is taken care of. It has been a tumultuous 72 hours. But as you have said past fundamentals are strong and there is absolutely no reason to bail based on some normal modulation.
I have been reading you, Lou and several others posts since day 1. You guys are the genuine article and called it right over the long haul. I cant stomach the fraudulent alternate agendist who try with their bull
Have a great weekend.......Monday should be interesting!
you're right, thanks.
I didn't know that the stock price dictates the fundamentals of a company.
So the fact that the price has pulled back the last 2 days means that DKS isn't going to do well IN THE FUTURE?
You must be telepathic.
No the stock price doesn't dictate a company's worth IT reflects the intrinisic value of a company.
If the stock is cratering, usually that's an indication that something is fundamentally wrong, or not yet perceived by the retail investor.
Seriously, Max, DKS has sold off 20% because more people believe it's overvalued than those who find it undervalued.
It's as simple as that.
