Have legal expenses has increased in the last 8 months-- signaling complex negotiations?
If the company was in complex negotations to sell assets (Titanic), its legal expenses would have increased during the last eight months (beginning around April, 2012).
Can anyone ascertain from SEC filings that legal expenses have increased every quarter-- indicating that negotiations are in fact occurring?
No law firm would be representing the company in negotiations for a flat fee (in case that is someone's defense). Furthermore, in-house counsel also would not be able to cover all the purported "complex" legal issues so outside counsel would have to be retained/paid-- where are these expenses to prove the complex negotiations are happening?
