Among the good catalyzers:
1) Acquired by a Big Market Fish (High value and cheap price from a pure P&L and Balance sheet view)
2) New CEO - They had good results on the last 2 quarters but being too conservative on the earnings call
3) New Disney line promoted and marketed to a broader base. Coming out this September 21
1) Being digested by the market as we speak (Testing the 20.00 @ 13:58)
If everyone here is long, as I am, we should hope that the company never sells out unless we are paid a large premium over the share price. I, for one, think Vera Bradley will be able to redeploy its earnings for many years back into its business to grow. It generates a strong return on tangible equity and it hasn't yet really penetrated any international markets. I think over the next 20 years, it will be a compelling growth story.
Don't let a hiccup in annual earnings divert attention from its potential. When climbing up a hill, keep your eyes on the hill and not on the peaks and troughs on the way there.
