This company has good fundementals. It's gotten
good ratings by three great investment firms. It's in
a huge growth market...
If they would just
position themselves as a "WEB" based elder care... ya,
that's it. e-care.com ..er something.
That is the only reason I can think of since ACR
is expanding a lot - higher loan costs could cut
into profits. Other than that, the low trading volume
seems to indicate lack of interest - especially from
short-term investors. I hope earnings will be good and prop
this up a bit. Does anyone know when earnings are due?
Probably around the 20th of July?
Will someone please explain why this stock has
made such a long and continuous drop? I can't see the
reason for it. Why did the brokers downgrade it? (Aside
from the price drop)
Earnings and revenues are
good. Is the new debt the reason? The price started
falling before the loans came. I can't figure
Someone please reply.
Yesterday's announcement (June 21) by ACR about
getting $200 million in credit is good in the long run,
because it means that they are adding additional
facilities at a good pace. I'm afraid this isn't a quick
growth internet stock, but one to put away for a few
years. For those of us who are long, we will be
rewarded. Demographics are on our side -
on the ACR profile, the short interest is quite
high at 48%.
Can anyone enlighted me as to why this
is so high? My guess is to manipulate the price
--force it down, buy, sell on the rebound then force it
down again. Any thoughts?
Does anyone know why ACR has been downgraded?
There haven't been any earnings estimate changes in
Zacks estimates. It seems like it didn't take much to
bring it down from 17 into the 12's.The volume hasn't
been abnormally high either.
I found this online drugstore that is
giving away three free products,
Gillette, etc - full sizes
to get people to visit
their site. Visit now before they don't
As you can see from the Yahoo news - Mcdonald
company downgraded from agressive buy to just buy. I have
found these downgrades to be unreliable (as well as
upgrades). In any event, since we are at the 52 week low, I
bought another 500 shares today. The only reason I can
think of for the slide is perhaps higher than
anticipated costs of opening new facilities. If the company
statement, they said they were going to open 1500 units (I
guess apartments) this year. The old saying - it takes
money to make money.
