    • "If you subtract the net directly it came to $0.11. I think we agreeed the "true" number was about a nickle. I was very angry managment didn't come clean then, but it looks like they will now."
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think that hurt the stock price badly and is part of the reason for us being where we are now. (But not the entire reason) All the same, the street has historically punished companies that they felt were not comming clean during thier earnings report and CC.

That could be part of the reason for low volume and lack of buying interest that we've experienced during these past few months.
The resignation/retirement of E. Rood may have been a signal to the street that thing's are turning things around at BLTI. (Although, I'm not convinced that it was Rood's idea to report .11 cents to begine with) Guess we will never know if the board voted to do it that way or the brain child of JJ etc.
The truth is, they all had to know it was really a nickle. So it really doesn't matter anyway because it was a bad move.

The street does forgive when they see changes being made and earnings growth still in line.
The next 2 Q's is critical for the health of BLTI. I'm glad that they finally woke up berore it's to late, realizing that thier a publicly traded company and act accordingly.

    • Now you KNOW that is going to get a full gaaseous discussion on "breaking wind".

Could we at least TRY to keep on topic---just a little

Forget it. I ate beans last night and am about to contribute to Global Warming myself.....

    • Man, who wants that job. Running around measuring the content of animal farts. What is that job title. Fartologist :)

      Out

    • "Whenever you open your mouth we get more methane. LOL"

gotta admit, as much as i laughed at the thrust i laughed at least as much at the parry.

    • actually termites emit the most methane of any animal on the earth

You're right. I had forgotten that. Thanks for reminding me. But I think my statement was that animal intestinal gas was the major source of methane along with anarobic decomposing vegetable matter, swamp gas.

Whenever you open your mouth we get more methane. LOL

    • actually termites emit the most methane of any animal on the earth

    • >I have read some stuff that would indicate that cow farts are major source of methane, i.e. global warming???<

I don't know where you guys get this stuff, but my guess is if Rush Limbaugh would lose his voice again, people of your ilk would turn into mutes.

    • <<I don't believe the gas from cows is contributing to the changes we are seeing either... ;-)>>

      LOL
Well, I have read some stuff on the sources of methane and cow farts, actually all animal intestinal gas, "may" be the major source. Mix in a little hydrogen sulfide and it gets interesting. LOL

    • oldbold...well, I'm just not as politically correct as we liberals are supposed to be I guess...I would just like those making the large claims about global temp patterns to admit we know very little about what the earth itself is contributing to the process...and, on a related issue, I don't believe the gas from cows is contributing to the changes we are seeing either... ;-)

seriously, I really do try to let thinking be my guide rather than assumptions...don't always succeed at it, but try nevertheless...
