    Chicago Dental Show Feedback

In my 5 years tracking biolase this is clearly the best show they are having...the booth is crowded, many dentists are buyinbg both EOIC & iPLUS on site today and feedback on laser use in general is excellent. Of the 20 dentists I survey who did not own an iPLUS 35% stated they plan to in next 12 months...compare that to the meager 5% penetration you have makings of a big year for BIOLASE. Those who think lasers arent for real just havent done their research...cant wait till EPS call......

    • Having stood adjacent to thiose trade show booths (in another field) I can tell you you surveyed the wrong people. Dentist who take the time to go to trade shows in general and to the Biolase booth in specific are prequalified for interest in lasers and do not represent the typical dentist. I'm surprised only 35% professed the desire to own a laser. Sadly, Biolase will be lucky to convert 1/3 of that 35% into sales this year. Sales booths are often used as closers so the booth 'sales' are general high.

      Sentiment: Strong Sell

      • I have been to last few and im telling you tide has changed regardless of your opinion....those prequalified for interest is still up significantly vs. prior years and thats all that counts. You are painting the exact opposite picture of what is occuring in that laser adoption is accelerating vs you the concensus which states is stagnating....when they have a record revenue year this year what will be your next excuse...oh year that prior year sales should be higher cause they sold units to HSIC in 2008? Yes thats your next argument for sure.....
