Because the company looks like its growing and giving out a dividend adds to this belief in growth. I would have to say to keep buying.

    • Stock dividends are not really dividends as has been much discusseed here. Why the company has increased gross revenue in the last two years it still has not returned to the gross volume of 2006 in spite of having more (reportedly better) products to sell at a less expensive price.

      Revenue History (Millions):
      Year…Q1…Q2…Q3…Q4..Total
      -----------------------------------
      2003…09…10….13…16…49
      2004…14…15….12…19…61
      2005…17…15….12…19…62
      2006…17…16….17…19…70
      2007…15…17….12…24…67 [Schein 77]
      2008…19…18…15…12…64 [Schein 74]
      2009…06…14…12…10…43 [Schein 49]
      2010…04…06…06…10…26
      2011….11….12….13….13…49
      2012….12….13*….14….18(e)…57

      *Excludes Schein buyback

      Sentiment: Strong Sell

      • Fail! Should I call my mom to explain it to you again? The grocery store will accept cash from the sale of dividend shares, how much more real do you need it to be? Each shareholder also gets to decide when to sell those shares, and incur the tax burden, unlike a cash dividend that has to be claimed in the year given. At worst it's a commission-free way to reinvest dividends. BIOL protects shareholder value by essentially buying when shares are low, and issuing to shareholders when high.

Your own post illustrates y/y growth is good for the last three years. Not making a great argument for you case there, but feel free to bet against all of us. Or is that how you ended up desparately bashing in the first place? There's no legitimate reason to make a bear case, so did your fund buy the wrong other stock, or make the mistake of shorting BIOL? It's not too late to fix, just put away all this nonsense and get on the right side of it...
