There is all but no chance for a short squeeze.

There are ~3M shares short as of the last reporting period. There are 31.5M shares outstanding. do the math. perhaps if Biolase received a take out bid for $7.50 there might be a rush to cover. But a loses announcement where it will be great news if they break even won't do it. BTW, none of the analyst is predicting a profit for this quarter or next.

    Sentiment: Hold

      • grocerybagger is a buffoon. I think most here know it well by now. A list of his erroneous predictions and stupid statements could wrap the Earth 2x at the equator. In 2009 he was bellowing that Biolase would not survive and the end is near. Making comments about a "death spiral" and "the wheels are coming off". By his idiotic calculations Biolase was not even worth something like $1 per share in a buyout.

grocerybagger is a pathetic combinations Wile E. Coyote Super Genius and Chicken Little.

He appears to be on this board for no other reason to have an argument. The amazing thing about him is that no matter how obviously wrong he is he remains in total denial.

The fact is had he truly understood Biolase he'd have bought in the $1 to $2 range and today be sitting on a huge gain. Instead he's attempting a pathetic market timing short position which can at best yield a relatively small gain.

Ahhahahahaha! I'm gong to let someone else take this one...Ok no, I will go for it, you are too funny, that is rich, are you for real? I don't think I can do the math, in fact I'm sure I'm missing something here, so slow it down for me, tell me how outstanding shares has ANYTHING to do with average daily volume, and the components of the impending short squeeze? Show us all how smart you are, and how dumb we are. Can't wait for your breakdown of tomorrow's dissemination. I can see why they fired you Craig; incompetence + instigator.

You're still just attacking someone else's thesis, which is fine, but you're not doing it very well. I'd still like to see a little more creativity and thought from you, see if you can come up with something tradeable / useable, and then support it. You seem to get hung up on the "losses" thing a lot, why not try to do something in line with that? Explore how analysts might value a companies in lieu of earnings, you could pick up some of my work to get you started since I post numbers way ahead of the event that are spot on. It's not rocket science, and I have no crystal ball, anything I do most people could do with a little effort and research. Give it a try it might change your whole outlook.
