5.3 Million, What Are They Thinking!?!?

Are shorts brain dead? Seriously, who shorts a $2 stock, and what kind of drugs do you have to be on to short BIOL here? Where's my buddy tinkerbagger? Do you still think 1/4 of a million new short interest is in above $5? The Hi-Lo range for the first two weeks of October was 1.85 - 2.06, any shares shorted in that period happen in that range ;) That's both the new ones that your method can detect, and the news ones that your method misses.

    • For u th sit there after all what has occured under the princes watch demonstrates how truely moraless you are and your bias. You must be a paid pumper or so dumb its not funny......this company has been run into the ground and you just cant see it and you stll sit idily by and deny it. The business model is broken if they even had one and that CEO who cant run a hot dog stand still continues to hid and pull strings behind the scenes hosing shareholders......

The time to cover was August, but shorts are sill at it shorting, and re-shorting at $2 levels, and it's pure suicide. I expect to see another gather in the stops next week. Wednesday took out stops to 2.26, and Friday wiped out stops to 2.22 relatively easy. 2.27, 2.60, 2.93 is going to happen quickly.

    • Tinkerbell, you try so hard to write things to make people think you have a clue, but it just exposes your inability to understand markets and how the big boys play the game. Adding in lies about what I have written doesn't help.

      Let's review:

      1. at least 1/2 and likely 3/4s of the short interest came in much higher than today and they have little incentive to cover. When you cover you pay taxes at the standard rate. If you hold a bankrupt stock you never have to actually cover and pay taxes.

      2. Hedge funds own most of the shorts. As long as Biolase remains the poster child for poor performance in the penny stock medical equipment field the shorts will remain.

      3. Those spreads Tinkerbell loves to explain in detail are at work. one shorts Biolase and lose long another better stock. Only pros are shorting here.

      4. 194,239 new shorts is noise (in what world does 193K get rounded to 1/3 million?) with 5,294,054 total shorts out.

      5. The short position has remained relatively constant since the middle of July. There were 4.75M on 7/15 dropping to 4.38M on 8/15.

      6. Tinkerbell wants the board to believe there is a huge short position under $2. The facts belie that belief.

      Sentiment: Hold

Do you see the irony? Listen captain buffoon, if you want to preach "big boys", and having a "clue", you first need to educate yourself. I know from our many discussions that basic math skills and reading comprehension aren't your strong suits. It wasn't that long ago I had to teach you what a dissemination date was.

In my world (aka reality) this is how I, and real investors read information. 5,294,054 less 5,052,011 = 242,043 roughly 1/4 million, just wait until we get in to times tables, to mental midget like you, it will feel like quantum physics.

Your next mistake is mixing unrelated items, for example 194,239 is the average daily volume over the two week period, it's not the number of "new shorts". Run that through your belied fact checker ;)

Given that you clearly don't understand even very basic things, it's more likely that you are the clueless one, and aren't qualified to speak for the big boys, or standard practices, or displace my keen observation that the bulk of short interest is around $2 or less.

Why don't you leave all this hard math stuff to someone better qualified, yell upstairs to your mom, and see if she'll take you and missjohn to Wal-Mart for new costumes with capes. Then, you guys can stay up all night seeing who can tell the biggest lies, and what you want to be when you grow up.

    • "high sales part of the year" while i wouldnt do it, probably a safe bet when the company announced on the Q2 call that they "no longer expect to be profitable in 2013" they have until q1 '14 numbers to cover.

AHahahaha! So all of the additional short pressure of the first half of Oct moved the stock from 1.91 close of Sept 30th to 1.90 Close of Oct 15th. One penny. Are you sure you guys don't want to short some more as we come in to the high sales part of the year? I'd really like the squeeze to help my 5.80 target to hit quicker, so if you could really pack a lot of fuel in the rocket, that'd be super swell.
