Literally GEVO makes stuff out of corn that only comes to you in dreams. To think that in a few years when your in a plane visiting family it will be running on jet fuel that was made from stuff you'll be having at dinner tonight, corn! No joke. A U.S. military jet has already taken flight with the fuel. GEVO also has a non-binding letter of intent with UNITED AIR LINES to supply their hub airport in Chicago at O'Hare International Airport starting in 2013!
Soon in a few years when you put a Coke bottle to your lips it will be part GEVO on those lips. They have a contract with Coke to design bottles using one of there chemicals made from Corn! Coke a GEVO are aiming for a 100% bio-based bottle.
Here are other Contracts that GEVO has:
Synthetic Rubber with Lanxess.
A gasoline blendstock with Total for a 2nd generation biofuel.
With Sasol to purchase and distribute to its global customer base.
With Toray, though not binding as of now, for GEVO to supply isobutanol for the production of para-xylene for plastics.
