And another raised target without fanfare, by the way.
A. First takeout elsewhere in the group, SONC goes to the head of the pack on the "possibles" lists once more, with Biglari perhaps being the potential buyer again. At least that's the way I think it's been performing.
B. Technicians thought it would do it last time. But this time for sure: Break of resistance at, what is it now, 11.04? something like that? I think it makes new highs easily.
C. Re actual company, as opposed to stock, thingies: Either corporate has to open a few kitschy all-American flagship stores in various Chinese cities, or a new franchisee should step in and do it.
Stock will SOAR on the very first PR about it. That may, in fact, be exactly what Mr. Biglari was thinking.
Wrong - its all about the food, the price of the food, and the experience. Sonic has all three going for it. I think once this heat wave is over, the stock moves upward. It is after all, an outdoor experience.
Been a fan since 1994. Then they had a truly great product. They have DUMBED DOWN the quality under the name of "lowering food cost." Talk to any franchisee and ask how they feel about the current quality of the product. Sure food cost went from about 26% to cost to about 21%. Great for the bottom line but did not increase sales. When you charge a premium price you must sell a premium product. Sonic's purchasing department knows the price of everything but the value of nothing.
