So we sent out word about 2-3 weeks ago to our respective clients concerning India. So now we can offer a little more insight and you guys can feel free to speculate. SodaStream hired Doorva Bahuguna. Doorva came from guess where...that's right Wal-Mart India with years of experience. She also worked for Reliance Group and Johnson & Johnson prior to her stent with Wal-Mart India. We had a chance to speak with Doorva recently on her beginnings with SodaStream and the progress she is making as the Market Manager for India. Doorva is currently looking for a Finance manager to support the region which likely means...Good luck guys and do me a favor, don't blow up the lady's social media pages kindly, double exclamation points.
It's kind of in no-man's land right now. I liked it a lot better at $64 and some of our clients took advantage of the buy signal we put out and sold it on the rally yesterday. The stock received three downgrades after the quarterly update. LULU has a couple of catalysts. One is that the stock will probably get a boost when they announce a new CEO to replace Christine Day alongside a new Executive Vice President Design. The second is that they generate a lot of free cash flow and there is always a possibility the company could announce a buyback. I have to go back to the report to read through the international expansion plans again, but this has been a tough goal for the company as it seems the business model works in some places better than others. One thing is for sure, its hard to keep the stock down. It garners a lot of institutional and retail support. Long term it seems to always bounce back and reach new highs, but near term price action is hard to determine outright. I think at $72 it is fairly valued, but one would always like to get it cheaper than where it is today.
Don't want to be a naysayer but clean water is fundamental to using Sodastream. I think China and India face the same challenge. If you need to boil the water first then just make tea which is what they do.
hey windsurfari, this is probably why you need to be with CL. The machines that are going to Mexico and India have built in filtration. They sent that info out months ago also. Sourcing is done in India which allows Soda to offset the margin loss from the machines that would happen otherwise, its a wash!
Amen Blue. I'm on this board to make money, and this bickering just gets in the way of that objective. I've blocked Gio's messages and I would recommend everyone, board veterans and rookies alike, do the same. He has absolutely nothing of value to offer the readers of the board and if everyone ignored him he would go away (or not, but we wouldn't see his idiotic rantings). Remember, If a jack@ss makes a racket in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, it's undoubtedly Gio and no one needs to bother what the jack#$%$ says.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
