HOT news, US official: Obama has not decided on military action in Syria.
President Barack Obama has not made a decision to order military strikes against the Syrian government in response to last week's alleged chemical weapons attack near Damascus, a senior administration official said on Tuesday.
So far it looks like you were correct. It amazes me that he is willing to do nothing after implementing a "red line" but this morning's WSJ seemed to indicate this to be the case. Concerning imo as it really makes us look flacid.
Obama is a politician, not a leader.... not trying to start political debate on this page, just stating an obvious fact. You cannot lead the most powerful country in the world and be afraid to #$%$ some people off... in the end, he not only looks weak, but ends up #$%$ everyone off with his indecisiveness.
Couldn't disagree more. Obama must act or he loses all credibility in the eyes of Russia, Iran, and the Middle East. He implemented a line in the sand and said "If you use chemical weapons we will intervene." Inaction will only embolden Syria and make him look weak.
So what if it emboldens Syria? What will Assad do commit suicide by attacking Israel or commit suicide by attacking us?
Why is the presidents decision based on how he is perceived instead of what he accomplishes? When did we start electing presidents who greatest attribute was the quality of their political gamesmanship instead of the quality of their character? You really have to wonder what Martin Luther King would have thought of this president?
