Breville got screwed because they started developing a machine and then Sodastream came oout with snap and lock technology. They went back to the drawing board. It was in Seth's last quarterly preview.

From there I don't know any more. Kitchenaid and SodaStream said there product would be here in Q4 so I would imagine very soon we see it in stores but it doesn't seem like countertop machines are getting retailer bids. That fizzini handheld is the one they seem to be buying. I think Sodastream has got a lock on the countertop machines. I might be wrong though so don't go off me.

    • I just want the damn V8 I was promised! :)

Agreed, I really hope to see this soon in retail. I noted with clients recently that BBBY is redoing there beverage aisle statement to include some key new skus for SodaStream. Building on Mark's comments, it does seem that with regard to the Fizzini by Hamilton Beach, the retailers aren't willing to add the counter top $99.99 Fizzini in stores yet, but rather the $59.99 one-shot machine. I would imagine there isn't relevancy for two $99.99 machine units at Target or space within the category to add this product given its inferior design with respect to SODA's Source machine. WMT will likely have the Fizzini one-shot in stores in the near future as well. Also hoping to see orders for Breville and Kitchenaid at BBBY shortly.
