I am new to this board but I found this fascinating. Sodastream claims that they are economical by being less expensive than store bought. The article that I read said that to make Coke at home with the Coke syrup is 2-3 times for expensive than buy a can. I am no great pundit, but at three times the price for a drink vs Sodastream this could be the next "NEW COKE"
Two liter soda are 99 cents everyday any at grocery. A different variety goes on sale each different day. Who the heck pays retail for soda except for fatties that also get the Twinkies of the month by mail?
Unlike coffee, which goes for as much as as $4 a cup, soda is cheap, and there is no saving in making it at home.
Between the machine, bottles, refills, electricity, this is just a gadget that will wear off and sit next to that juicer you haven't used since last Spring.
