An employee of a WMT I monitor for sales told me: "we are getting rid of this." I responded: "What do you mean you are getting rid of it?" "We are just getting rid of it." So I says..."are you discontinuing the product?"
Her response: "Yes, we will no longer be carrying this product."
She was showing me a small amount of SODA product "stuck" in the middle of the aisle of blenders. I had asked because the end cap I was watching, was gone.
Otherwise, sales seem to be encouraging in the other stores I monitor. But, it is too early to tell if the new marketing strategy is successful.
Actually your post is pretty ambiguous. She could be talking about the display, a sodamaker such as the Jet, a syrup, bottles, bottle caps, or the whole line of SODA products. Also she could just be FOS and have no clue what she's talking about.
I had already searched the entire store for a new 20 ft display. No such luck. I must admit she didn't seem to immediately seem to know what Soda Stream was. But, when I pointed to the end cap
where it was, she immediately took me to the few remaining items crammed into a lower shelf on the blender aisle. And then made the comment.
