I wrote to quickly, yes the term is MARKED to MARKET! SHORTS have ALREADY BOOKED their profit on SODA, and are NOW LOSING!!!

Typical retail bozos have zero understanding of HEDGE fund accounting.

HEDGE/SHORTS report to their clients the MARKED to MARKET VALUE of their funds.

When it appears that there is NO ability to produce ADDITIONAL PROFITS from a position, and there is SUBSTANTIAL potential for LOSSES...

Intelligent funds start to reduce that position.

If the fund is SHORT SODA, that means they must BUY!!!

    • IDIOT!!!!!!!!!! It's TOO not TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Wrong again, let's see... SodaStream announced plans to enter India 2 years ago. They hired a market manager, marketing and sales team and finance manager and have been investing here for over 15 months. During the month of July, SodaStream has scrapped their plans to enter India and has eliminated all employment related to this proposed expansion.

      A. Your welcome
      B. Your wrong
      C. Sorry for breaking the bad news

Unfortunately, the more you choose to discuss this notion of MARKED to MARKET (glad you finally got the term and spelling right) with regards to a short holding, the more you reveal your misunderstandings. As if they haven't already been revealed in your understanding of SODA. But hay, good luck to ya!
