SodaStream may close West Bank factory, according to news report By Paul Conley AUGUST 29, 2014
SodaStream may shutter its production plant in the occupied West Bank, according to a report in Israel's Haaretz newspaper.
The move comes amid Israel's military actions in Gaza and a call for a boycott of SodaStream in Europe.
SodaStream's CEO said a decision would be made within the next two months, but denied that the political situation was a factor.
SodaStream's CEO Daniel Birnbaum told Haaretz that the folks behind the boycott call are "financial terrorists."
And therein is the problem for SodaStream. It seems unlikely that the company can move to the next level in international markets as long as it is so closely associated with issues that so clearly divide the world.
Then says the closing of the plant is purely a financial decision.
Financial terrorists cause financial damage!
Dan B. is essentially admitting that the West bank plant is causing SODA some financial damage.
So, YES, the decison is not based upon politics, its based the financial EFFECTS from the political situation!
Bottom line: The plant is going to be CLOSED unless the Palestinian workers mount a major PR blitz to convince the "financial terrorists" that its NOT SODA who will suffer from the plant closing, but the same people those terrorists are supposed to be helping.
Dan B. has given NOTICE: I'm going to shut this plant, that will result in the loss of 900 Palestinian jobs UNLESS the terrorists cease and decist! He is giving the terrorists 2 months to come to their senses!
