I've been waiting close to a year....if not now than when? Seems like the stock is oversold and there is a lot of support underneith. I'm just concerned about a market roll-over, but at least there's a divy here. GL all, B
There will usually be a better (even much better) time to enter and exit which is the exact reason I don't buy positions all at once. I really do hope this thing drops to the mid-20s. I will gladly take the short term RED and buy more with the understanding of the longer term story and the high probability of long term GREEN as a result. There are no guarantees but I do like the potential in this name at these levels to start a position....and I like the income they pay (which I DRIP anyway). GL all, B
Glut of vessels next 2.5 yrs, and with GLNG having no contracts,on their newbuilds, that will be a (short-term) problem. Shares may be discounting that already.
FSRU wins are coming, perhaps 1-2 in the next 6 months.
The fact is that charter rates at about $60K are breakeven, and the profit margins on the shipping side are not too good, relative to UDW or even LPG and product tankers.
LPG vessels price at $200M is a big overhead cost that barely justifies itself given the charter rates. Their profits will be made in the mid and upstream parts of the business going forward, but the details are not yet clear.
Agreed, the reason I have been very comfortable in waiting to buy is the fact that we are still a couple years out from getting rewarded. I am long, hoping to increase my position at least 50% in the coming year or so if the price is right. If the price never gets right, well, we will all be very comfortable collecting our 5.5% and whatever gains come our way.
