"Proctor & Gamble will own majority of DMND per the deal. float will remain unchanged shorts might want to think about this."
Actually PG SHAREHOLDERS will own a majority of DMND if the Pringles deal closes. "float will remain unchanged"
Riddle me this: How will PG shareholders own "a majority of DMND" with the float being unchanged??
In the REAL WORLD PG shareholders will be receiving NEW DMND shares. DMND will be assuming DEBT. The level of DEBT DMND assumes depends on DMND's share price. Right now, DMND's share price is significantly below the low 40s and its my understanding that if DMND is still priced below the low 40s when (assuming it does) the deal closes, DMND will be required to assume MORE Debt from PG.
It is interesting how altruistic the longs are vis a vis the shorts LOL.
Being long PG is what made me aware of DMND. Followed the story for months before I bought. There have always been silly longs posting. Last fall, longs believed DMND would restate by the end of 2011!!! They didn't like it when I countered, and of course, most, if not all of those losers are long gone.
No need to "hope" about my position. I've made my bet and that's it; I know when to say when.
Not sure why you are impressed that I've been posting since last fall. I'm not a short term trader.
I've owned one particular issue since 7/1/71; now that is long term.
