We know what they did. Here it is in a nutshell.

"They delayed a crop payment so it wouldn't be reflected on that quarter. This is very minor. Many firms with good accountants do this at the appropriate time."

WHEN is it "appropriate" to move expenses from one Q to another Q? "good accountants do this" Really???

We all have to wait to see what the inquiry discovers. But IF DMND is found to have manipulated its earnings by playing games with its expenses and thereby making the Q in question appear much stronger than reality...well this is NOT "minor".

How all of this affects the stock, no one knows.

I believe he means a good account does not get caught. You are in a dream world if you think this doesn't happen all the time.

Delaying an expense or delaying a payment? Is it any different than mark to marketing? As long as one is upfront about it, there is no fraud. I've looked over their explanation and it all makes perfect sense. They have an explanation for everything they have done. There is no fraud. They are profitable. The audit and SEC will find nothing.

    • The company before Sept was on a HUGE upswing. What makes you think they need to cover the money to show more profit?? Look at the numbers they posted recently. if they were struggling I could understand.

verioinc, I have no idea knowing what DMND was doing.

It is obvious, though, IF (and that's IF) DMND moved expense from one Q to another, by default, this would make the Q with less expenses than should have been reported appear stronger. Why would DMND do this? Perhaps related to the Pringles deal???

We're all grabbing at straws; time will tell.
