you may see 23's tomorrow and b-4 u think

its a strong buy or buy do consider:
    a) accounting issue not yet resolved, it will be lowered but by how much
    b) walnut growers cancelling contracts and or walking out of them for being paid unfair.low prices.
    c) suicide of audit comittee member has not yet been fully closed as investigation, it is still kept as an ongoing affair.
d)past prices of a stock have no bearing on the price today when a stock has to be re-evaluated on a multiples business with less growth than previously acknowledged.
e)I believe dmnd foods mgmt has to make a choice, charge higher prices for products and pay more for walnuts or keep prices same and pay more to walnut growers, I 100% believe they have no choice but to pay more which then brings us to the point that growth could further slow than even prior worst case scenarios.
I would love to hear the longs arguments for why we should go up in this market when on any given day we could be red very quickly, the tide has shifted slightly.

    • Are you saying DMND did not pay the contracted price or they forced growers to sign contracts with a gun to their head? What is unfair? Would you sign any contract that forced you to loose money? It is like telling taxpayers to pay their fair share, you pay what the IRS requires you to pay, like a contract.

    • dmnd's stock is a crap-shoot. that's why stop-loss limits are used. i'll hold and let the stop do its job.

    • OK - Here goes:

      a) Do you think acctg issues are already reflected in the price of the stock? I say yes.
      b) How many walnut growers? 6 out of 2,000?
      c) Suicide tho tragic does not automatically make the company a sinister, evil, snakepit. Could it be the guy had prblms unrelated to work?
      d) OK - multiples will likely chg
      e) You're forgetting the other very profitable divisions DMND has aside from walnuts.

Now calm down and try to see the WHOLE picture.

      Long on DMND,

      • You know there are so many shorts on DMND that I'm not surprised that we don't here from a lot more idiots on this MB posting more non sense like that. There are many MB's of stocks that have much less shorting and 10 times as many moron's posting garbage about the company. I guess we've been luck in that respect. This stock is going much higher if not just for the fact that it's heavily shorted and when they cave it will be a GIANT squeeze as they give it all back. It will be our turn to take it from them.

      • a) Do you think acctg issues are already reflected in the price of the stock? I say yes.

Answer: I don't have the faintest idea and neither do you. I do know that we haven't seen any reliable numbers for a long time now.

        b) How many walnut growers? 6 out of 2,000?

Answer: I don't know and neither do you.

        c) Suicide tho tragic does not automatically make the company a sinister, evil, snakepit. Could it be the guy had prblms unrelated to work?

Answer: Because his work was directly related to the division where fraud is suspected and the timing of his suicide, one would be naive to assume his death was unrelated to his work.

        d) OK - multiples will likely chg

Answer: It will probably change to the detriment of stockholders.

        e) You're forgetting the other very profitable divisions DMND has aside from walnuts.

Answer: And those divisions will need to outperform expectations for DMND to hold its present stock valuation when the bad news regarding audit restatement breaks.

Now calm down and try to see the WHOLE picture.

Response: Perhaps investors should also consider their potential "hole" picture.
