If I may, you are mixing methodologies. The underlying assumption of TA is that price is reflective of know (public) knowledge. You are far better (in my opinion and I am a CFA analyst!) to stick to pure technicals as the rest is truly voodoo toolsets. Don't worry about the unerlying reason for the stock price. Look at previous prices, time elapsed and other factors to gauge resistance/support. Hope this helps.
