    Still a mortgage reit

As far as market is still concerned, nrf is a mortgage reit. It does not matter that 46% of estimated 2013 cad will come from equity reit investments and 14% will come from annuity-like management fees. It also does not matter that nrf's sec filings state in effect that a 100 basis point increase in interest rates will have a miniscule effect on cad.

Nutso market trades on fear, greed, computer programs....everything but fundamentals. That comes later when fundamentals appear as fact in the rearview mirror and increasing dividends.

I just bought another 1477 at 8.53, 'cause that's all the cash I had in an IRA. Cash earns nothing. This buy earns 2.46% (21 cents) in less than 3 months. I'm ready, willing and able to wait for the rearview mirror.

    • Hi Dar...
I got 2K also at 5.53, just before it fell to 5.49.
As you point out, fundamentals will win in the long term, especially when they are supporting a 9.3% yield that is, as you also point out, growing every quarter.

      Wishing you well
